YOUR DEMOCRATIC PRECINCT CHAIR

A neighbor first. David Greene.

Community leadership starts with listening and helping people find a practical way forward.

Meet Rev. David Greene

David Greene lives in Bridgewater and serves as Executive Director of Service Clubs Inc., where he works with community partners to turn good ideas into practical support for neighbors. He is also Managing Partner of Trenton Hoyt LLC, a political strategy and consulting firm focused on grassroots organizing and communications.

His work in nonprofits and civic organizations has taught him that community leadership starts with listening. His background in pastoral care shaped that approach, too: treat people with dignity, understand what they need, and help them find a way forward.

David was elected Democratic Precinct Chair for Harris County Precinct 0813 in March 2026 and sworn in that June, after previously serving by appointment in 2024. As precinct chair, he strives to help his neighbors stay informed, get involved, and have a say in the decisions that affect their community.

Public education & civic participation

In 2026, David ran for Katy ISD Board of Trustees Position 4. He did not win, but the experience strengthened his commitment to public education, supporting teachers, and making sure families have a voice.

His published biography states that he is running for Katy ISD Position 6 in 2027. That is a campaign statement, not a current school-board office or a race in the November 2026 guide.

PERSONAL POLITICAL VALUES · DAVID’S VIEW

Values & approach

David describes his path this way: “I am now a Texas Democrat, but I did not arrive here because I have spent my entire life inside one political lane.” He first registered as a Republican in Connecticut in 2010.

His service approach emphasizes responsible budgets, strong public schools, safe neighborhoods, honest elections, constitutional rights, and local government accessible to ordinary people.

As he puts it: “I want politics that protects public education, respects working families, defends voting rights, supports local communities, and treats diversity as part of our strength rather than a threat.”

These are David’s political views. They are separate from the factual voting information and neutral office explanations on this website.
