Good information has a source.
Election rules come from election officials. Campaign information comes from campaigns. If we get something wrong, please tell us.
Our source hierarchy

Ballot guide verification & open questions
The uploaded HCDP full guide contains 103 numbered entries and 105 candidate names. All names were matched to the live coordinated guide. That resource provides 73 campaign links and omits links for 32 names; missing sites are explicitly labeled rather than guessed.
The guide is not an official ballot, an endorsement of every listed alternative, or proof of your exact district assignments. The original guide includes multiple alternatives for HCAD Places 2 and 3. For Place 2 the website lists one candidate, a homeowner preference rather than an endorsement; the Precinct Chair does not personally endorse any candidate in this listing. The website now lists 104 candidates with 72 campaign links; the original PDF remains unchanged. Place 3 alternatives remain listed.
Campaign URL sourcing was reviewed October 5, 2026. Candidate qualifications, exact legal ballot names, incumbency, and district assignments are not independently certified by this website. Incumbency badges are withheld.

Election dates & updates
November 2026 dates are sourced to HarrisVotes and the Texas Secretary of State. Pages carry election context and update labels. After Election Day, the homepage demotes deadline information and marks the ballot guide as archived without breaking its address.
General voting explanations are guidance, not legal advice. Specific eligibility, accommodations, return deadlines, and circumstances should always be checked with the official authority.
Corrections & missing information
Please include the page, the information you think is incorrect, and an authoritative source if you have one. Do not include private voter ID numbers.
